Friday 11th December was our last online meeting of the year. We had an Apple-related quiz, discussed Apple’s announcement of AirPods Max and members shared suggestions and tips.
App Development Update
DaveK gave us his regular update on the app he’s developing. The Zenopolis website has information about Dave’s current apps.
Apple Quiz
Robert presented the Apple-related quiz which has become a fixture at our pre-Christmas meetings. This year there were three rounds:
- Questions about new features in iOS 14 and macOS Big Sur.
- Recent Apple history.
- Guessing prices for promotional items in the 1986 The Apple Collection catalogue.

AirPods Max
We discussed Apple’s announcement of the new over-ear AirPods Max headphones.
Suggestions
- Denesh had received the new MagSafe Duo charger.
- Ben mentioned that he’s making a photo book from Photos using the Mimeo Photos extension app. This is the company that previously provided printed photo products for Apple.
- DavidB pointed out that Pixelmator Pro is currently on sale at 50% off in the Mac App Store.
- DavidB was using the app iRiun to connect an iPhone to his Mac as a camera.
- Paul mentioned the AstroPad Luna, a device that can turn another Mac or an iPad into a wireless second display for your Mac.
